Terms and conditions of sale and use
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These terms and conditions of sale and use ("Terms") govern the use of alpine-transport.fr (the "Website") and the services provided by Alpine Transport ("we") to anyone who requests a service from us (the "Client"). The French version prevails; translations are provided for information.
1. Who we are
Farid Djebali, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI), trading as Alpine Transport — SIREN 422 858 449 — 639 route de Chartreuse – RD 1075, 38850 Chirens, France — farid-djebali@alpine-transport.fr — +33 6 60 51 23 71. See also the legal notice.
2. Our services
- Ride: an on-demand journey in town or in resort.
- Transfer: pick-up at an airport, station or agreed place (for example Geneva, Turin, Milan, Lyon, Chambéry, Moûtiers station) to your hotel, chalet or residence, and vice versa.
- Private chauffeur: a chauffeur and vehicle at your disposal by the hour or by the day.
- Close protection: protection agents, with or without a vehicle, which can be added to a ride, a transfer or a chauffeur booking, or requested on its own.
Our main vehicle is the Mercedes V-Class. Any other model is available on request, subject to availability, and is confirmed separately. Transport is carried out by professional drivers holding the required authorisations. Close protection services are carried out by a partner security provider, in accordance with Book VI of the French Internal Security Code, by agents holding a valid professional card.
3. Booking and formation of the contract
Every service is booked in advance: through the Website form, by WhatsApp, email or phone. Sending the form is a booking request, not a contract. The contract is formed when we confirm the booking in writing (email, WhatsApp or SMS), stating the price, date, time and pick-up place. The Client guarantees that the information provided (addresses, flight or train number, number of passengers and bags, contact details) is accurate.
4. Prices
Prices are in euros. They include all taxes where VAT applies. The amount shown on the Website is an indicative estimate based on the information entered. The confirmed price is the one stated in our written confirmation; it specifies what it includes (in particular tolls, tunnels and parking). Any change to the route, schedule, number of passengers or duration, as well as extra stops and waiting beyond the included time, may lead to an adjustment, communicated before it is applied where possible.
5. Payment
Payment is made as stated in the confirmation (bank card, bank transfer or another agreed means, within legal limits). A deposit may be requested at confirmation, in particular for long chauffeur bookings, vehicles on request and close protection. An invoice is issued for each service. For business clients, late payment automatically incurs penalties at three times the legal interest rate and a flat-rate recovery fee of €40.
6. Changes and cancellation
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the pick-up time (72 hours for close protection).
- Between 24 hours and 2 hours before: 50% of the confirmed price is due (transport and chauffeur services).
- Less than 2 hours before, or if the Client does not show up at the meeting point: 100% of the confirmed price is due.
- Close protection cancelled less than 72 hours before: 100% of the confirmed price is due, as agents have been assigned.
A request to change the date, time or route is handled as a new booking, subject to availability. If we have to cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and refund what you have paid or offer an equivalent solution.
7. Punctuality, waiting and unforeseen events
We pick you up at the agreed time. For arrivals by air or rail, we follow the actual schedule and include 60 minutes of waiting after arrival; for other pick-ups, 15 minutes are included. Beyond that, waiting may be charged pro rata to the hourly chauffeur rate. In the mountains, weather, snow, road or tunnel closures, traffic or border checks can lengthen journeys: the times shown are estimates. We do our best to keep you informed and offer the best alternative.
8. Client's obligations
The Client respects the number of seats, the vehicle's luggage capacity and the driver's safety instructions, and does not smoke or vape on board. Children must travel with an appropriate restraint: request it when booking (child seat option). The Client is liable for damage to the vehicle caused by themselves or their companions, and for their personal belongings. We may refuse or interrupt a service in the event of dangerous or disrespectful behaviour, without refund.
9. Liability and insurance
Our vehicles and services are covered by professional liability insurance (see the legal notice). We are liable for the proper performance of the services under ordinary law. We are not liable for delays or inability to perform caused by force majeure or an external event that is reasonably unforeseeable and unavoidable (exceptional weather, road closure ordered by the authorities, strike, accident, a flight or train delay not communicated to us, etc.). Nothing in these Terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.
10. Right of withdrawal
Passenger transport contracts to be performed on a specific date or period are not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal. For other services (in particular close protection) concluded at a distance with a consumer, the consumer has 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason by writing to farid-djebali@alpine-transport.fr (a model form is provided in the annex). If the Client expressly asks for the service to start before the end of that period, they pay a proportionate amount for what has been provided up to withdrawal; where the service is fully performed before the end of the period with their prior express agreement and acknowledgement that they lose this right, they can no longer withdraw.
11. Complaints and mediation
For any complaint, write to farid-djebali@alpine-transport.fr stating the date and subject of the service; we undertake to reply promptly. If the disagreement persists, the consumer may use the following consumer mediator free of charge: [TO COMPLETE : name, address and website of the consumer mediator]
12. Use of the Website
Access to the Website is free; connection costs remain the user's responsibility. The user must not use the Website fraudulently, send fictitious or abusive requests, try to disrupt its operation or extract its content automatically. We may suspend access to the Website for maintenance or any technical reason without notice.
13. Intellectual property
The Website's content (brand, logo, texts, images, layout, code) is protected. No reproduction or reuse is allowed without our prior written permission.
14. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy and the use of cookies in the cookie policy.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. A consumer residing in the European Union also benefits from the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of their country of residence. Failing an amicable solution, the competent courts are those determined by ordinary rules of law; for business clients, the courts with jurisdiction over Alpine Transport's head office.
16. Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms; the version in force on the date your booking is confirmed applies to that booking.
